Ardmore Foundry was built in 2001 and utilizes a horizontal parted molding line for the manufacturing of municipal castings. With over 190,000 square feet of manufacturing space, the facility features state-of-the-art environmental control technology.
Established in 1883 as our original manufacturing foundry, this facility continues to operate several molding lines, the newest which was installed in 2009. East Jordan Foundry provides castings to the Midwest and surrounding areas. Upon completion of our new foundry build, this facility will discontinue operations and all employees will move to the new foundry just 14 miles away.
Construction of a new foundry in Northern Michigan is underway on a nearly 200-acre site in Warner Township, Michigan. This will be replacing the original foundry located in East Jordan. The state-of-the-art facility will use an all-electric induction melting process that is a clean and energy efficient technology. Operations will begin in the fall of 2018 with full production scheduled for the Spring of 2019. The new manufacturing operation will allow EJ to remain competitive and grow the business.
GMI Composites was founded in 1923. Acquired by EJ in 2014, it is now known as Muskegon Composites. This 50,000 square foot location manufactures composite access solutions for applications that require engineered composite technology.
Established in 2003, Youngstown Fabrication manufactures metal adjusting rings, rubber risers, and drainage grates at our 10,000 square foot facility.
Acquired in 2012, this facility designs and manufactures custom fabricated products and aluminum hatches.
Construction of a new manufacturing operation is currently underway in Schroeppel, New York; just 15 miles away from the current facility. Relocation of existing fabrication equipment is scheduled for January/February of 2019 with production at the new facility following shortly thereafter.
Acquired in 2013, this facility produces fabricated steel grates, frames and beams for Maryland, Pennsylvania and the surrounding areas.
Acquired in 2012, our Salt Lake City facility is 20,000 square feet. This facility specializes in the design and manufacture of custom fabricated products and aluminum hatches for the construction and utility industries.
The Water Product operation is located in a 50,000 square foot facility in East Jordan, Michigan. They produce fire hydrants and valves for municipal water systems. The facility features modern machine tools, special coating facilities, and an automated assembly and testing area.
