Overview

Contracting giant Bowmer & Kirkland required specialist access points when building the new data centre for Experian. This project for the global information services company required products with excellent security features that are operable by a single person. As the units were being installed in areas to be trafficked by heavily laden vehicles and forklift trucks, it was also essential that the covers are capable of spreading the load over the chamber openings which vary in sizes between 2 & 4 m².

Project Summary

The solution, offered by EJ was to manufacture 1680 series multiple leaf access covers torsion springs to assist with lifting the heavily underbraced lids. In addition, removable support beams crossed the openings to ensure the required load classification was achieved. Two internal recessed points for user padlock were utilised per cover system to prevent unauthorised access and maintain Experian’s levels of security. All seven products were promptly manufactured and delivered to site by EJ as they maintain their 1st class products, 1st class service & first class people philosphy.
