We take great pride in the fact that each day we recycle hundreds of tons of post-consumer material into new useful products. Many of our worldwide facilities operate environmental management systems that are certified to the standards set down in the international standard ISO14001.

As a global enterprise, we are able to control and manage the life cycle of our products from cradle to grave. This lifecycle management gives us a unique advantage of being able to address environmental concerns at every step of development. Our products have an enduring service life, and typically require little to no maintenance once they are installed in the field.

Greenhouse emissions report (GER) EJ Picardie

Contextual setting

Mindful of its impact on the environment, Picardie foundry had her first carbon assessment made in 2011, then a greenhouse emissions report in 2012 based on the 2010’s activity data. Another GER was made in 2015 based on 2014’s activity data.

A new report has been made in 2019 using 2018’s activity data.

Summary of the test results

In 2018, Picardie foundry’s greenhouse emissions are estimated at 48 816 tons of CO2.

Primary sources of emissions are:

Energy from stationary sources: this station is linked to fossil energy consumption such as coke, natural gas and oil by fusion installations and generating sets.

Electricity: this station is linked to the electricity consumption of the factory especially for the powering of gear and machinery used in the fabrication process.

Industrial manufacturing process: this station is linked to the products consumption necessary for the manufacturing process.
