The Captive Hinge Access Assembly is an advanced solution that addresses present concerns in the market such as cover theft, ergonomics, safety, pressure relief, and security. Once a cover with a captive hinge pin is installed, the cover cannot be removed.
Hinged Design
The Captive Hinge Access Assembly has a hinge design that allows for flood pressure relief—the lid remains attached in cases of extreme flood pressure. The lid opens to 120° but features a safety catch at 90°. The non-slip surface and light weight ductile iron frame and cover increase worker safety during installation and maintenance.
