DUROCOM™ Composite Handhole Assembly
Non-Conductive Handhole For Underground Wiring
The DUROCOM™ composite handhole assembly is designed to be a safe access point for underground wiring, such as street lighting, traffic signals, or communications equipment in pedestrian areas. The Non-conductive thermoset fiber reinforced polymer (FRP) composite handhole cover and polyethylene frame and box are a safe choice for electrical utilities and municipalities, providing insulating protection for workers, pedestrians, and pets.
Lightweight and Durable
The lightweight, round design of the DUROCOM handhole allows one installer to roll the handhole easily and safely into place. These handholes are available in 18, 24, and 36-inch diameters.
These composite and polyethylene products are durable and will not crack or break through freeze cycles. The polyethylene handhole boxes are made from inert, shatter-proof recycled material, keeping the handhole intact while being unloaded and installed, or if unintentional traffic over the handhole occurs.
All DUROCOM handholes meet either Tier 15 or Tier 22 of the ANSI/SCTE-77 standard. This standard identifies six types of traffic for load rating. Tiers 15 and 22 both apply to driveway, parking lot, and off-roadway applications subject to occasional non-deliberate heavy vehicular traffic.
