Overview On this private estate, a CSO cover chamber posed a challenge for our client. The existing multi-leaf lift-out sections were cumbersome, taking a significant amount of time to open and close whenever access was needed, and were heavy enough to warrant multi-operator handling. Project Summary Recognising the need for an efficient and safer solution, EJ met the challenge, offering a comprehensive service that included a site survey and full project management from inception to completion. We introduced a new FACTA D hinged cover, equipped with hinged safety mesh grids, ensuring both functionality and safety. These covers, galvanised, padlockable, and odour-sealed, replaced the old ones, which were carefully removed. To ensure a seamless integration with the surroundings, a new concrete surround was added around the cover, finished with gravel for a natural look. Notably, the new design allows for single-person operation, a significant improvement from the previous setup. Additionally, the safety grids ensure fall protection, adding another layer of safety when the covers are open. The transformation was well-received, with the client expressing appreciation for the quality of work. We are delighted to showcase just what we can do to achieve the perfect solution.
